Orange Cone Season is Approaching

tahoeroads.comEvery year at about this time, springtime, we start watching out for orange cones indicating that road construction “season” has begun.  Truckee locals affectionately refer to this as “orange cone season”.  So, we’re on the lookout in the Truckee area and you might also want to be aware of the road construction that is going on as you visit.

Local’s Lunch With a View at Diamond Peak

What a day to ski! Ok, this post really has nothing to do with real estate . . . but I just had to share a great tip.  The Diamond Peak Ski Resort offers a “Locals Lunch” special Monday – Friday non-holiday.  In fact, they say “Everyone’s welcome” so I don’t  even think that you have to be an actual local resident — be sure to call and check on this if you are interested.  So, for $25 you get a lift ticket and a $10 food voucher valid from 11am – 1pm.  Visit the Diamond Peak website for more information.

And, this is just what I did today!  Yes, I took a morning off from work and skied with friends and had a lovely lunch on the deck at the Snowflake Lodge.  And, I took a small video to of the view to share with you.  Take a look . . .
